This is another variation of a tomato cage Christmas tree. The transparent style of this tree allows every solar light to be seen at once. The intense lighting makes it the brightest of all the tomato cage Christmas trees I’ve made this far.
Instructions
- Bend the Ends
Turn your tomato cage upside down. Bend the ends out and toward the grown. A rounded end is much safer than pointed ends.
- Gather the Ends
Start the locking of a cable tie. Join the 3 ends of the cage together and slip the cable tie over it.
- Connect the ends
Tighten the cable tie to bring the ends together. Snip off the excess of tie.
- Attach the Lights
On this particular tree, I thought it would be clever to create a “net” design with the lights. It was tedious, stressful and unnecessary. I do not recommend it!
After applying lights to four tomato cage trees using different methods, I’ve determined running the lights vertically gives the most even distribution. For that method, I simply attach the lights at the top and bottom points of contact with the cage using cable ties.
