This is the first Christmas in our new home, and in a neighborhood. Our first home, of 16 years, sat on a road that is highly traveled at speeds over 50 mph. No one slowed down to look at our Christmas display, so we kept it at a minimum. We now live at the end of the main street which feeds majority of our neighborhood. Not only are majority of my neighbors forced to pass by, but they’re slowing as they approach the stop sign. I now have an audience to impress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am eager to build an elaborate outdoor display, but I only made a mere dent this season. I converted our reindeer to solar string lights, and I built 4 tomato cage Christmas trees. I still have a fifth tree in the works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The tomato cage Christmas trees were quick, and easy to make. The payoff for the effort is ten fold. They are impressive and solar power makes them efficient! They come on at dusk and lift the spirits of those passing by for serveral hours (typically until 10 pm). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
My mom actually asked me where I bought the tree with the burlap bow. Yes! Nailed it! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
